Our Story
This is the quick story of Bryce and Eden Meyer. We have been married for over 16 years and raise four beautiful children. Much of who we are today comes from a few key ingredients: our faith in Jesus Christ, our willingness to stay steadfast and planted, and the people who have invested in our lives.
The Waters Sober Living Homes were born out of a deeply personal journey and a desire to bring hope and healing to those battling addiction. Our story is rooted in experiences that have profoundly shaped our hearts for this mission.
Addiction has touched our lives in deeply personal ways. Bryce grew up witnessing the struggles of addiction within his family, experiencing both the pain and challenges that come with it. His wife’s family has also endured the weight of loss and heartache tied to addiction, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. These experiences have shaped not only our understanding but also our empathy for those navigating the difficult path to recovery. They have fueled our passion to create a space where individuals can find freedom, healing, and support.
Through these challenges, we have also witnessed redemption and transformation. Our home has been a refuge for individuals on their path to sobriety, and we've had the privilege of celebrating their success as many of them have remained sober for years.
We bring unique gifts and personalities to this work, allowing us to create an environment that is both structured and supportive, practical and deeply personal.
Bryce is a creative problem solver who thrives on helping others succeed by overcoming their hurdles. He is passionate about championing people to accomplish their goals and loves to turn vision into reality. With a natural gift for encouragement, Bryce brings energy and inspiration to those around him, helping them see what’s possible and take steps to get there.
Eden has a remarkable ability to connect with people, making them feel known, valued, and understood. She excels at hospitality, creating warm, welcoming environments that feel like home. Her attention to detail and her ability to manage the daily needs of life make her an anchor for those she supports. Eden has a gift for exposing meaning in everyday moments and helping others see purpose and beauty in the ordinary.
Together, we are committed to using our gifts to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can find the hope, tools, and encouragement they need to walk out their journey to sobriety and live with purpose.
A cornerstone of our approach is our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the truth of His words: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." This belief drives everything we do. We know that lasting freedom from brokenness and addiction requires strength beyond our own, and Jesus is the source of that strength. We stand on the promise that if God begins a good work in someone, He will bring it to completion. God has proven himself faithful to his promise found in Psalm 1:3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which produces its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
